Help for anxiety and panic attacks

Anxiety Clinic - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

Face to Face Consultancy & Treatment

If you live in (or near) Stoke on Trent we'd like to offer you the opportunity to work with our specialised Consultants face to face. This page explains how our face to face consultations work, how long they last, our zero risk guarantee, our affordable fees and finally how to book your initial appointment.

If you don't live within travelling distance of Stoke on Trent we can still work together either online (via Skype webcam) or by phone. You'll still work with the same Consultants you would if you attended our Clinic in person. We'd always encourage a client to work with us face to face whenever possible, however we do appreciate that if you live at the other end of the country it's probably not feasible. Thus if that is the case you should have a look at our Online Consultation option.

Is there any financial risk?

The initial consultation appointment has no financial risk attached. The appointment will be scheduled for a full 90 minutes, however the first 30 minutes will be based on an informal chat between yourself and one of our Consultants over a cup of tea or coffee. You'll be given the opportunity to discuss your problem and ask any questions you'd like answered. After the initial 30 minutes has passed you'll be asked if you're comfortable to proceed with the Rapid Recovery Programme. If for any reason you are not happy you can simply walk away and there will be no charge. The time and drinks are on us.

If you decide to proceed...

Assuming the Consultant is happy to take you on as a client, they'll then introduce you to the basics of the Rapid Recovery Programme. The session will continue until the 90 minutes are up where the fee will become payable.

A subsequent session (assuming it is required) will generally be booked for approximately one week later.

How long will it take?

anxiety stoke on trent

It is normal for you to attend one 90-minute session each week. This allows you 'processing time' for changes to take place and new ideas to be digested. Offering feedback on the previous weeks feelings, emotional states and events helps your Consultant to fine tune the Rapid Recovery Programme to your specific requirements.

We'd like to point out that 'weekly' sessions are what most people feel comfortable with. However, we're very flexible with regard to how we structure your Recovery Programme, so if you'd prefer fortnightly or even monthly appointments - we can arrange that.

The number of sessions a client requires can vary from person to person depending upon the type of anxiety disorder, the severity of the condition and perhaps most pivotal of all - their commitment to apply what we advise.

Generally speaking (for most cases and assuming the client takes on board our suggestions and advice) - four to six sessions tends to be a reasonable ball-park figure for the majority of people to notice significant progress and improvement.

Who decides when recovery has been achieved?

Nobody knows how you feel better than you do, so it would make sense that you'd decide when you felt you'd recovered to your satisfaction. Your Consultant will offer you their opinion based upon the feedback they've received and may in some cases make recommendations, however the final decision is yours.

What are our fees?

We work with a flat rate fee of £95.00 for a 90-minute face to face Consultation - regardless of what the problem or disorder may be. Thus no matter how complex or serious your problem or disorder, the fee is always the same.

Occasionally it is necessary for us to visit a client at home. We offer 'home visits' in Stoke on Trent and Newcastle under Lyme ONLY when a client has very good reason not to be able to travel to the Clinic in person. We will consider home visits for the following reasons:

  • The client is physically disabled and has access difficulties such as being confined to a wheelchair.
  • The client suffers from Agoraphobia or a psychological disorder which precludes them from travelling.
  • The client is elderly, frail or has recently suffered a nervous breakdown.

Although the fee remains flat rate at £95.00 per 90-minute session, an additional charge will be made to cover travel time for the home visit. You will be advised of this prior to your first appointment.

Fees are payable at the end of each session on a 'pay as you go' basis.

The Anxiety Clinic can accept payment via cash or cheque for face to face Consultations.
